Sail Date: Dec 2016

We chose this cruise because we wanted a special celebration for our 20th wedding anniversary on December 28th. We flew to Baden Baden on a Ryan Air flight on the 27th and had organised an airport transfer straight to Strasbourg where we stayed overnight, our hotel La Maison Rouge was lovely, right in the centre of the old town. We had most of the next day to explore the city before boarding for our cruise. Unfortunately the Christmas Market had closed early due to the attack in Berlin but there was still plenty to see and do in Strasbourg and the local beer was definitely worth sampling!

We were the only two English travellers on board and all the announcements and shore excursions were in French (most of which we managed to grasp) but we were assigned our own lovely personal translator Priscilla, all the crew and staff took great care of us and everyone really went out of their way to make sure that we had all the information we needed.

The food was absolutley superb and the accompanying wines which were included in the cost of the cruise were just perfect and there was plenty to choose from, the dining experience was a real highlight of the cruise, we could not have asked for anything more.

Cabin Review

Cabin upper deck double

Lovely, clean, spacious - a great experience was lying on the bed looking out of the huge picture window, watching the world as we sailed past.
