We had taken a river cruise with Viking in France and enjoyed it. My husband had never been to Germany and I knew he would like the mountains and sights. The cruise was wonderful, the sights fantastic, and the tours were great! Our favorite optional tour was the Cologne Cathedral Tower Tour - absolutely fantastic!!!!! The construction of the cathedral, the warehouse of statues, corbels, friezes, etc was amazing. The view - breathtaking.

The weather was a little rainy, but the view was still wonderful. The castles along the river enjoyable even during the showers.
