Our main goal was to have time to spend in St. Petersburg to have plenty of time to visit the Hermitage and the Czars Palaces. We added 2 hotel days so we could hire a private guide and her car for 3 days to take us to the country side, Kronstadt and her favorite places in the city. We are 2 couples and we think we see more in small group of four which costs little more but adds a lot. Our hotel was central city, 3 blocks from the Hermitage.

We spent 12 days on the Truvor boat. No complaints at all. Excellent service, great food, rooms as nice as we've had on a cruise.

The small towns we visited along the way to Moscow were interesting, but not spectacular. they provided a look at central rural Russia.

Comfortable bed for both of us. Private balcony. Bath perfectly modern and acceptable. Service way above average.
