I felt that I was out of my element going to these countries alone. I didn't want to do "touristy" things. I wanted to learn about the countries. I wanted a smaller group. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. The crew couldn't have been more charming. The atmosphere was very relaxed. No need to dress up.

Being on a small boat, we were able to stop and see farms and the way of life. Needless to say, the temples were exquisite. I felt that I got a true insiders view of the countries since the tours were lead by locals. I am so glad that the time in Hanoi and Saigon was short. I got to see the important sites, but not hang around a hotel room.

This was a trip of a lifetime! I have recommended it to so many people. I feel so lucky that I chose Viking for this trip.

Standard Outside Stateroom

Cabin B

No reason to upgrade. All the rooms are outside staterooms. The cabin was fine. I only used it to sleep as there were so many activities.
