We had one prior Viking River cruise from Paris to Normandy and back, so when we were looking for another River cruise in France this was the perfect combination of history and culinary experience. Viking did an outstanding job and I highly recommend this itinerary on the Viking Forseti. One of the things we like best about Viking is that they are very good with providing context to the excursions, historical and social perspectives, and cultural introductions to the region and why it is important.

Of course the food is exceptional and the excursions are included (mostly) and the tour guides were exceptional and spoke very good English. The service was top notch and the staff took time with the guests, and we were very sad to leave them. Also, we have met incredibly nice people on the cruises we have taken, some of which we continue to be in touch with after our return, and hope to travel with again.
