Smaller boat than ocean cruises which we liked very much. Wonderful views from anywhere on the boat of Germany and the Netherlands. Excursions we're interesting with multiple options and got you back to the boat in time for lunch, allowing for a relaxing afternoon. Informative lectures daily re: upcoming ports and excursions. Meals were wonderful, with wine at every meal. Casual option for meals always available. Rooms with veranda were great for sitting out and watching the world go by. Exceptional service everywhere - room steward, dining room, etc.

Embarkation was generally good but if you weren't taking part in a planned excursion you did end up being a lower priority to get off the boat. But overall the process was well organized and worked well, particularly when we could dock and walk onto the port. The trip thru the middle Rhine with the numerous castles to see was great but unfortunately the weather was rainy that afternoon so not as enjoyable as I would have hoped.
