We liked the Viking approach. Quiet, but not dull, active, but not exhausting. We had also not met anyone who had not enjoyed their experience with Viking. We enjoyed the pace of the activities, the choices, and the guides. The food was wonderful and the portions ample but not overdone. Our room was quite nice and our steward made sure that we were always comfortable. From the moment we got off the plane to the moment we went through security on our return trip we were always in the capable hands of the crew and associates.

Visiting a lot of sites could be tiring but the pace was perfect and the choices of excursions and extras was just right! We especially liked the personal and smaller groups that enabled us to really explore and enjoy so many new places. Free time was welcome because of the opportunity to stay on the ship or go for walks in the many towns and cities that we visited. The ships were very often docked in the midst of the lovely towns.

Perhaps the most important part of our journey was meeting wonderful people, some of whom will be lifelong friends! Read more
