We have sailed on Journey a number of times and it gets a lot like home every time. I guess familiarity with the ship and many of the crew gives you a good feeling, and you get to feel even more welcome.
Singapore was a one day experience but we have been there many times. Great city where everything just works like clockwork. Our boarding at Harbourfront went like a charm but it would be an improvement if you could check your baggage with the agent earlier. Many, like us, fly into Changi on red eye flights arriving around 7:00am at the pier. If you don't know the drill about lugging your luggage up to the Ferry desk and paying to check it there you can be stuck sitting around with it for around 3 hours.
Weather didn't help this cruise but it was still a great itinerary, Have done all thew ports except Ha Long/Hanoi before so we organised our own thing in the others.
6077 is a good cabin
Like all R ships you put the shower on rather than stepping into it!
Refit has improved the cabins a brightened them up
We used the shuttle to do the main markets day1
Azmazing evening evening day 1.
Day 2 we pre-hired a car and driver for a small group and did the city, the city sights at our own pace having the opportunity to visit museums, pagodas, churches, Chinatown and a lot of other sites. Good way to do it if you have a reliable booking agent an good value.
The shuttle was very convenient if you wanted to do your own thing. Having been to Bangkok a number of times that suited us very well giving us flexibility and the opportunity to walk and shop through the city.
Old Singapore hands
Great city.
