Going on a River Cruise was on our bucket list and Viking appealed to us. We flew into Budapest a couple of days early and met family there and toured around on our own. Budapest is a beautiful place that I never would have thought of visiting. So glad this is where our Viking Cruise started. Our family left us and went on their way and we boarded the Bragi.
Viking was so congenial and allowed us to board early. We were able to tour around the ship and get a bite to eat until our cabin was ready. The ship was so pretty and everyone was so friendly. Our cabin was small, but that is not a problem because we were not in our cabin that much. We were out on shore excursions or in the dining area or on the terrace or bar. Our cabin stewardess was so sweet and she kept everything so nice.
The food was excellent and our servers were the very best. We met some awesome people on our cruise and always looked forward to meeting up with everyone for meals to visit and share our days. The shore excursions were so educational and we learned so much. All of the foods we tried were delicious.
Small but had everything needed. We did not spend much time there.
Overview of City. Beautiful!
Overview of Vienna. Beautiful architecture.
The drive through the Bavarian Countryside was so green and beautiful. Then took a small boat to cruise the famous emerald-green waters of the Inn River.
Loved Regensburg and my memory of the cuckoo clocks. Wish we would have purchased one.
Medieval city. Very educational. Saw some of the heavily damaged properties of the bombings Also where many toys are made.
Visited during a festival. Very crowded and party atmosphere. Famous for Smoky Beer. Tasted like barbecue to me.
The Bishops Residence was absolutely stunning.
Very interesting and very old. It was a hard walk with uneven rocks in the castle, but so worth it.
Largest cathedral in Northern Europe. Fabulous.
