Sail Date: Dec 2016

I had a Caribbean Christmas cruise booked with another cruise line but cancelled and booked with American Cruise Lines because of their reputation. I was NOT disappointed!

Service was impeccable. I was told that the staff was gathered by invitation from other boats in the fleet.

Food was classic New Orleans, Louisiana, and Southern - typical foods of the region we were cruising. The menu, always excellent, was different every day. Broad choices for breakfast. Two or three choices for lunch. And two or three (different) choices for supper. But the best was happy hour every afternoon in the forward lounge. The table was loaded with familiar foods and also with items most had never tasted such as alligator, crawfish etouffee, and gumbo. Plus the staff was circulating with trays of hot, just out of the oven bites.

Cabin Review

Cabin double

I was a single in a double cabin. The second bed was a giant luggage stand.

Plenty of room for me. Would also have been plenty of room for two people.

Ambient temperature was well controlled.

When I boarded, the desk held the coffee maker, an insulin refrigerator, a sharps container, a lamp, two cookies, and four bottles of water.

A good start!
