The cruise was an introduction to the German countryside and the small towns full of history and charm.
The excursions were appropriate, but there were too many castles to see. A couple of activity events would have given variety.
We particularly liked the abundance of drinks and appetizers. How it was presented and served really was very nice. We enjoyed the different cuisine served.
The entertainment at night were right for us, informative, informal and easy to participate in.
We had a lot of rain during the travel and were very happy that Viking provided large umbrellas for our comfort. The crew were always there for us inspite of the inclement weather.
The hotel accommodations were all excellent; convenient locations, spaceous accommodations and good service.
One thing that we enjoyed with the cruise is the changing scenery on either side of the river as we glided along the waterways. I was amazed at the precision of the captain guiding the longship through the locks. I have never seen so many locks in a trip.
We have been recommending the cruise to our friends.
Very well appointed. Small, but sufficient for us. The French sliding door made a big difference compared to a small port.
