No issues with cabin and our HK attendant Hugo very pleasant and did a great job

Booked Hemingway Excursion which was very nice and Highlights of Havana which was enjoyable.  Nice place although Havana can be a bit annoying with locals pestering you trying to sell Havana Rum and Cigars

Very enjoyable trip.  Guide was very good but did not like the fact that he was hinting and asking for tips at the end.  Had he not asked / hinted for tips, he would have got a ten dollar tip from me, but as he asked I would not give.  In this part of the world they would get a lot more in the way of sales and tips if they did not drop hints and just left people to browse in peace without trying to hard sell stuff tot hem.

Very nice place - small but nice and very safe.  Quite an expensive destination but great beaches and great to walk around.  In this part of the Caribbean you also do not get street vendors hassling you and trying to hard sell stuff to you

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Of all the trips I booked on the cruise this was the only disappointing one and it was very disappointing.  Stated 7 hour tour approximately on literature but lasted exactly 5 hours.  Most expensive trip I booked and the poorest.  Not enough time to look around in Puerto Viejo and Cahuita.  Got impression tour guide wanted to get back early to go home.  Very disappointing trip.  Costa Rica beautiful however with some stunning nature and scenery

Also when you dock in Puerto Limon - the place is the pits.  You really have to do an excursion around here to get away from the port as there is really nothing at the port and the town around did not feel safe to me at all.  But a lot of good tour options and nie once out of Puerto Limon

Panama city Tour was great although would probably have preferred free time in Panama City to do own thing rather than go with guide.  Very nice place and enjoyed the trip.

Be aware that where the ship docks in Puerto Colon looks extremely poor and dodgy and the surrounding area looks like Down Town Bronx - not safe to walk around and advised against this on the cruise.  You really need to take an organized excursion when you dock in Panama.   There is a shopping area opposite where the ship docks which is safe to go around, however beyond that is not safe and even the guide on our excursion warned us against walking beyond shopping area and advised not safe.

Enjoyed the trip and Carrtagena was lovely ( not how I imagined Columbia at all ).  However they ran out of beer, rum and coke half way through the trip and only water was available.  When they say open bar it should mean open for the duration of the trip and not run out half way through

Cartagena Old Town lovely.  But locals VERY annoying approaching you and trying to sell junk, excurisons, etc to you.  You have to be very firm with them as they are very persistent.

Again nothing at this port at all and the port is around 40 mins walk away so you really need to do some kind of trip as nothing at the port.

Feedback from Thomson Dream – Cruise Ship – 31st January – 14th February 2017

Overall we had a fantastic holiday and I would like to give feedback about the whole experience on the Thomson Dream and highlight both the positives and the negatives.The literature for Caribbean Experience, Costa Rica, by Thomson stated it would last approximately 7 hours – it lasted exactly 5 hours on the day we did it ( I also put this in writing on the ship as every time I went to see someone in Destination Services the queue was either very long or nobody was there and this has never been answered ).
