Price/smaller ship/traditional ship (2000 passengers?)
The ship is traditional older class and embarks on a world cruise in Southampton UK once a year in January .Special deals are offered to fill some legs of the journey at reduced prices perhaps to sell the cabins and ours was Singapore to Fremantle section ...Last year we did Darwin to Hong Kong
I can't believe how much the service and offerings such as restaurant varieties offerings and standard and general demeanor of staff has declined in just under 12 months since our last trip .Most of the staff including wait staff were very apathetic and had a "attitude"to dealing with any issues that arose and it certainly reflected(perhaps they were getting tired since commencing the journey of world cruise)

Cabin was adequate for needs and pricing although very tired and dated in furnishings

Semarang was very different and enjoyed nice people .We made a mistake by going into Kuta on Bali for several hours (took a $30 taxi ride)couldn't wait to return to ship after being harrassed by touts and sidewalk sellers pushing us to buy things.Very backpacker style of people we saw
