We travelled with Emerald Waterways in late September 2016 from Nuremberg to Budapest. A stunningly beautiful route.

Firstly, I have to say that cruising is not for us but we tried it, but that doesn’t diminish our appreciation of either the Emerald Skye or its crew. The vessel is meticulously clean and the crew work as a team and give 5 star service.

Most of the guests are Canadian or Australia and they seem to appreciate the conducted tours ashore. This may be less appealing to Europeans who might like to take a little longer to discover cities. We would have enjoyed longer in Vienna and less time in Budapest. Read more
