Cruised with a group of friends; booked this one mainly for the Mardi Gras access. I had never been to any of the ports, so I was excited about the entire itinerary. We booked private shore excursions on Grand Cayman, Costa Maya & Cozumel, which we all enjoyed tremendously. Took advantage of Celebrity's Signature Mardi Gras event, but we were all very disappointed with it. Very disorganized; bus departed late; physical fighting broke out in the staging area while Celebrity personnel ignored the mayhem; seating in grandstands was very unstable and overcrowded. Many people sitting around us were NOT from our cruise and had paid only $35-$45 per person, as compared to $249 pp charged by Celebrity. So many guests were offended by this that Celebrity ended up offering Future Cruise Certificates to appease those who complained (myself included). Furthermore, we only had time to see 1 parade and about 10 minutes of the 2nd parade before our bus returned to port. I would discourage future cruisers from booking this excursion unless Celebrity reworks and reprices it.

We booked Cabin 6291 "partially obstructed view". The obstruction didn't bother us at all, but from Day 1, there was noise which disturbed us throughout the night. We complained, & personnel came to try to determine where it was coming from without success. It took until Day 7 before Celebrity finally changed our Cabin, & explained that the noise must have been from Blu Restaurant's dishwasher running directly below our cabin at night. If anyone is sensitive to noise when trying to sleep, DO NOT book this Cabin.

All that being said, overall we had a great time & are glad we booked this cruise. The onboard entertainment was terrific, from the Celebrity singers & dancers to each of the comedians. John Grantham, the Cruise Director, did a fabulous job. The food was the best we've ever had on our 5 cruises. And our MDR waiter, Armony, was the most outstanding Celebrity representative we have ever encountered! She deserves special recognition for her genuine welcoming and caring attitude! She is always the first and last person we speak of when remembering this cruise.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2C

Cabin 2C

"Partially obstructed view". 1 deck above and just aft of lifeboats, and an extended platform beyond our balcony. The platform gave the sense of a little bigger veranda even though it was blocked off and inaccessible. The obstructions didn't bother us at all; you can look straight out to the ocean, just not directly down. However, the overnight noise (reportedly from Blu's dishwasher directly below) was unbearable, and we eventually had to be moved. If anyone is sensitive to noise, DO NOT book this cabin. If you sleep like a rock, it's probably fine.
