We have done Uniworld cruises before but each time it just gets better. They understand how to make the experience truly relaxing and memorable and I love the design of their boats. We have just returned from doing the 8 day Danube cruise from Passau to Budapest.
The cabins are spacious and there is enough storage to store away toiletries and clothes. The beds are super comfortable and they always offer great amenities.
The shore excursions are excellent and are included in the price. For example in Vienna they arranged for a private concert in an old castle with a chamber orchestra. It was a lovely evening. You visit museums an hour before opening so you avoid the crowds.
The cabin was spacious, well appointed with a lot of attention to detail. The bed was very comfortable with top class linen. Fluffy towels and great amenities. Deep drawers in the bathroom cabinets give you plenty of space to store things. Double Basins and a lovely hot shower with great water pressure. There is also plenty of room for clothes storage.
We took a walking tour through the town and ended at St Stephens cathedral. It really is a beautiful cathedral and well worth visiting.
We took the one day Salzburg tour. We did a walking tour of the old town. There are many interesting things to see there and I would recommend this rather than Linz which was a bit industrial.
We did a short trip to the Abbey. I thought it was well done and loved the cathedral. We then did a slow stroll through town. It was a Wednesday and so it was market day.
Loved it
We did a tour to visit the old masters. What an incredible museum. One of the best I have ever seen. Don't miss it. We then went to see the Lippazaners and did a short walking tour through the city. We also did a bus ride through the city to see all the highlights. Its a beautiful city. we visited the Picasso exhibition that was on and had a private concert with a top chamber orchestra organised by Uniworld. Really magical experience
This is a lovely little town. You can cover most of it an a couple of hours. It has a lovely atmosphere and there is quite a lot to see.
We did a city tour to see the highlights followed by a visit to the city market. There is a lot to see in Budapest and it is a beautiful city. Try and be up early if you are sailing into Budapest at sunrise. The view is breathtaking.
