Flew to LA to experience the Mexican Riviera for the first time as we live on the East Coast. Flights and transfers went as planned, all on time and very easy. Boarded the ship and were having lunch before 1p.m. The cabins were ready and luggage arrived early. Embarkation was very smooth. Ship seemed to be clean and in reasonably good shape. Cabin was a typical ocean view, large closet and very small bathroom. We had the early seating dining plan in the Botticelli dining room and opted to share a table. We sat at a table for 8 but only one other couple ever showed up. Very attentive waitstaff under Neal and Mark. Princess seems to have cut way back on portion size, but food was tasty and attractively presented. Although this was Spring Break season and there were 500 children on board, they were all well behaved and under parental influence. Most of the passengers seemed to be in the 40 to 60's range. No college Spring Breakers to speak of. We used the Sanctuary Pool area which was quiet and not crowded at all. The only drawback there was no waitstaff service for beverages. We went on 2 shore excursions, one in Puerto Vallarta and one in Los Cabo's. The half day tour of Puerto Vallarta was very good. The Snorkeling tour of Los Cabo's was terrific. Fun staff and best use of the limited shore time in Los Cabos. Luckily we had a bright sunny day and the ocean was clear and aqua blue, although chilly!

Cabin Review

Oceanview

Cabin OF

Cabin was typical Ocean view on deck 5. Good location next to International Cafe and the Piazza for entertainment. Very high seas the last day with waves breaking as high as the windows, making for a rocky ride back to port.

Port Reviews

Mazatlan

We walked from the terminal to the ferry for Stone Island, a short ten minute walk. The Ferry is a small boat and a short 30 peso round trip ride. Stone Island is a 12 mile beach area with many restaurants and many, many beach vendors! Good lunch at Molakay Beach Restaurant where we used their lounge chairs all morning.
