This was our third celebrity cruise and unfortunately feel that celebrity are cutting too many corners which is reducing standards and this is clear to see, they can no longer be considered a 5* cruise company, more a 3*, the cabin bedding and fixtures are in a worn state, the metal frame of the bed sticking out from the holes in the valance, curtains which had never been cleaned for years, the public areas are tired, check out the seating in the buffet! the general feel is of neglect, yes I understand that it is going for a refurbishment but it will take a lot, lot longer than two weeks to make the improvements needed for this ship. On a positive note the guest evening entertainment was great, house band blue wave were good but limited library of tunes was their problem, you can only take "mustang Sally" so many times before it starts wearing thin! The drinks and tours are extortionate but this appears to apply to most ships. The ships crew, now less in numbers, appear to reflect the condition of the ship with morale being low, very little "banter" to be had. To finish on a positive note, the itinerary (spice route ) was amazing possibly one of the best we have done, we are booked for a celebrity cruise early next year, but I am looking at cancelling, perhaps in a few years they will have upped their game and restored the standards which celebrity WAS renowned for, I'll re-book then.
