We choose this cruise over a year prior based on price and three day add on in Paris. We should have cancelled when Vantage changed the date of the cruise after we made our final payment and acted like they were doing us a favor by giving us an alternative date. With Vantage it was a constant upsell for zero quality. To be fair the toiletries were nice. However, the A cabin, one step below a suite was old, the beds were lumpy and the sheets were a glorified sleeping bags. Meals were very regimented and quality were poor. Onion soup was consume with three croutons and no cheese. Lunch was at 12 or 1230 and ended 45 minutes later. Dinner was 7pm sharp and by 830 you were being shooed out of the dining room. The menu was inflexible, with the chef explaining that all recipes were from corporate and could not be deviated from. The food had no flavor and requests for extra seasoning or any seasoning was not honored. The tours were dragged out in many cases to justify the guide's existence. The Normandy day at a restaurant was no menu one dish and food so poor (fish fillet rice and vegetable mush with no flavor). when I complained the cruise director said that it was only restaurant in area and if I could not eat the food, too bad. The only time there was any warmth from crew was when they would emphasize importance of service charge. The stops were poorly scheduled so many places closed or nothing was open. No activities on ship and it was lights out by 930pm. Pick up involved circling the airport for two hours to await another plane Well it will be lights out for me with Vantage, never again
