We had the best time on the Celebrity Reflection Transatlantic, April 22-May 8, 2017. The ship was spotless, the crew and officers were friendly and approachable, the food was very good, and the entertainment was top notch. The ports were very interesting, beautiful, and worth the time:
Tenerife, Canary Islands: explored, nice port
Malaga: took the bus to Granada, but I read that Malaga is worth exploring
Great cabin located midships. The only complaint is that it is close to the doorway that leads to the crew smoking area, and at times you could smell cigarette smoke in the hall.
Love Miami, great city
Nice walkable area.
This is our new favorite port. The town is a 5 minute walk from the pier, if that. Being on the Costa del Sol, they get lots of sun throughout the year. There is a Roman amphitheater near the port with a nice museum, definitely worth your time. The town itself has lots of restaurants and shops, many people speak some English, and are friendly. The architecture is quite beautiful.
Barcelona is a beautiful city with lots to see. It is also quite large, so staying overnight is a good thing for cruisers who have not visited before.
This is a charming town built up the mountain, so be prepared to walk uphill and up lots of stairs. Unfortunately for us, it was raining when we were in port, so we did not see much of the town, but did take the 20 minute train to Monte Carlo, only 6 euros for a roundtrip ticket. Monte Carlo is stunning.
Livorno itself it not much to write home about, but if you take the bus to Florence, you will have a great day.
