First time river-cruiser and I researched the top 6 river cruises for weeks. Not sure how I got to the SS Antoinette, but it was absolute perfection and exceeded all of my high expectations. The Captain, the Cruise Manager, the front desk staff, and the housekeeping staff could not have done a finer job. I don't know my next river cruise itinerary, but it will likely be back on the SS Antoinette, but if not that super-ship, it will definitely be with a UniWorld ship. Already looking at Christmas river cruises for this year's season. The food was top notch, and if you didn't want to choose from the nightly selections, you always had backup selections. Every single aspect of the food and wait staff was impeccable, and they were not happy until they knew your were happy! Our Cruise Manager, Rik from the Netherlands was possibly the best in the industry. We all waited with excitement for his 6:45 daily ship notes, always done with a great sense of humor. He was pretty captivating to all of us. As I said before, I don't know where you look after having the best experience possible.
The rooms were wonderfully decorated and for some reason seemed a lot bigger than other cruises we've taken. This cruise was with my best friend so trying to have space with two females were were both impressed with the layout, space, decorating, and most of all, the cleanliness and special touches our cabin attendant did 3 times a day. We never felt unsafe or worried about leaving something out. Trust goes a long way to total satisfaction!
