It was on my friends bucket list so that was the reason for the cruise.
I have cruised with Thompson princess and silverseas before but I expected to be wowed when I eventually arrived on board from the worst embarkation I have ever experienced but I wasn't. I guess you are paying for the prestige of the boat and the name Cunard .our friends who haven't experienced other cruises were wowed however, I thought the staff in general were lacklustre apart from our wine waiter who was joyous and enthusiastic. Good cabin space for clothes was a plus but very unpleasant smell in the bathroom throughout and a rusty balcony. Hadn't expected to have to pay extra for classes such as Pilates either. Food on the whole very good apart from the chaos of kings court at lunch time. By the 5th day looking at the ships itinerary was rather struggling to find enthusiasm for the same options. Special mention to the sports staff especially the golf guy who always had a smile .
