We chose this cruise because of previous experience (20 years ago!) with Celebrity. It certainly was not what remembered and in that regard, the cruise was filled with lots of little disappointments along the way. It wasn't all bad, it just wasn't what it was.

We did the Denali land tour (which was incredible!) before embarking. Upon arrival in Seward, we were checked in efficiently and upon boarding were greeted with smiles and warm, flat champagne. We were able to disembark to some shopping before setting sail. Getting back aboard was painless. Disembarking at the end of the cruise went well, too, especially given the many places people were leaving to. Instructions were clear, we got where we were going to on time, and our luggage was awaiting us when we arrived.

Millennium isn't new, but it still has a very elegant feel to it. Getting around is fairly easy as there are many signs and deck maps to consult. Waiting for elevators when you need them is a pain and we chose to use the stairs most of the time. The hot tubs on deck were *not* hot, which was too bad since it would have been nice to sit in a hot tub in cold air. We were able to use the whirlpools inside, but they were often crowded. We were also disappointed that passengers were not allowed on the bow the length of the voyage, despite the fact that there were rails and places to sit.

See above. Comfortable and quiet but far too warm. Honestly, if I had to do it over, I would choose inside for this itinerary. The midnight sun, which the shades could not completely block out, made sleeping difficult, even if it was pretty.

Seward

Beautiful town and getting off the ship to enjoy it after checking in was easy.
