We flew to London for 5 days for Chelsea Flower Show prior to Eurostar Train to Brussells with Evergreen to board Emerald Dawn in Amsterdam. We booked one bedroom suite which was more than comfortable (although not enough hanging space for clothes which could be easily fixed by replacing some shelving.) The cruise was great , the scenery spectacular all made better by the passion and energy of the Cruise Director, Nina with her daily excursion updates and her on the ground participation in each port. The rest of the staff should also be commended on their overall attentive service and helpful attitude. In London and Europe the tour guides were also of a very high quality and we were impressed with their interaction. Overall a great value for money river cruise experience on a ship which still looks new, but may we suggest....1/ Train travel and large suitcases don't mix ,so catching the Eurostar at St Pancreas Station in London to Brussells with long queues and inadequate storage on the train was a bad choice. 2/ Whilst the food on board the Emerald Dawn was plentiful and comphrehensive the evening meals were an attempt at fine dining and were long drawn out affairs which from a taste perspective didn't change much each night and became boring. Perhaps Emerald could choose more themed dinners to add some variety .
