We boarded in Barcelona great city. Embarkation easy. We liked the ports this cruise offered and being a new ship were so excited to sail on her, We were on the Majestic Princess for 35 nights Barcelona to Singapore for our trip of a lifetime. The ship herself is beautiful and new but not a ship for entertaining her travellers. The Piazza was always busy for line dancing and ballroom lessons it seemed, day and night, when the entertainment of Evolution was on board it was a breath of fresh air to be able to enjoy the music and dance but after Dubai the new band was terrible, very poor entertainment for a princess ship. Heddon Band great and Arny G great for relaxing with a drink in the evening. Grill Bar was the only place to be entertained but had to dance on carpet or in the passage. Cruise Director Dan organised nothing much for the pleasure of passengers, Paper Plane making, Juggling lessons, not for me. Bingo on sea days was good but costly for 4 games. We were bored most sea days as was many other passengers, it was very hot to sit by the very small pool area for too long.

Food was good in Market Place but fruit terrible and not fresh. MDR food was good. Harmony Restaurant fair. Grill Bar Restaurant great. Chef's Table excellent. Vines Bar is great but only opened at night and does not serve sushi as on other Princess ships. Vista Lounge a crazy setup with the gaming setup. Karaoke Area never used so Lawn Bowls played in the passage of Karaoke Area. No great discounted sale days, the high end shops always empty. Most Staff were very pleasant and some outstanding but some really didn't want to be there it seemed and were not interested in more than getting through each day. Disembarkation was easy and Singapore a lovely city. Having met some great people on this cruise made it enjoyable but it lacked a great deal of Entertainment and the new layout for the Chinese market is certainly not to our liking. We missed Crooners Bar, Explorers Lounge, Wheelhouse Bar, Larger Pools, Wakeview Pool area. PublicToilets never working and never clean. Public areas often not clean. We love Princess but will not sail on the Majestic again, and hope Princess do not stay with the concept of this ships layout.
