The AMAStella was beautiful...a first rate operation. Embarkation and disembarkation went effortlessly. Excursions were terrific with well informed entertaining guides. There are different "pace" levels making it easy, especially for the "gentle walkers" to keep up with the tours. The cruise director, Csaba, was always available and bent over backwards to help in any way possible. He is delightful, charming, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. Captain Korvemaker, only 28 years old, is so competent and extremely personable as is the ship's hotel manager Attila. The three of them work together like a well oiled machine. The wait staff and housekeeping couldn't do enough to make the experience memorable. They were respectful, courteous, warm and just plain fun. The entertainment enjoyable and the food good...not exceptional as was everything else. The intimacy of river cruising is different from a large cruise ship. I highly recommend AMA Waterways .
