Cruised with friends that picked ship and itinirary. My first cruise so nothing to compare it to. Food was OK, but not up to the lofty expectations I had coming in. Never got a good steak, even hamburger meat tasted weird. My first breakfast was in the main dining room and I ordered Eggs Benedict - huge disappointment. Theme nights at Terrace were good, especially the seafood night. Deserts were also disappointing.

Service in main dining room was always a two hour affair for dinner. Loved our waiter, but just a slow process. Wine selection by the glass were hugely disappointing. Fortunately I had brought some great Oregon wines onboard and poured them in my room and brought them to dinner avoiding a corkage fee.

Cruise Director, Dottie, was great. Were fortunate to share the cruise with Big Ten alumni and they brought great speakers and athletes from the past. Vern Lundquist was a great speaker. Loved the entertainment, kids sang and danced their tails off.

Cabin Review

Inside

Great beds, room was adequate size for us. Great benefit was room was totally dark with lights turned off. Huge benefit when sun rises at 3:45 and sets at 11:00.

Wrangell

Arm pit of Alaska, totally a wasted day
