We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the Norwegien Fjords. Could not fault Britannia in any was the service and quality of food was second to none. there is always something to do and the evening entertainment was brilliant. As this our first cruise we did not know what to expect, we were told by other friends and family that once you have done your first cruise you will be looking for your next. This is true as our first experience on Britannia we are now hooked. The first impression as we saw her berthed at Southampton was one of ore at her huge size, but once on board and you walk into the Atrium it was fantastic as we made our way to our cabin along a lovely carpeted corridor we were full of excitement and our cabin didn't disapoint us it was lovely very clean and bright.
We had a balcony cabin which to our surprise was very spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and ample hangers. The balcony was ample for two chairs and a table, the towels were replaced every day as were the toileteries.
Didn't do a tour as we are into Stavanger Port, Loved Stavanger the ship towers above the houses. Walked around Old Stavanger and went into the living museum, free entrance and serving coffee and cakes if you need a break. A visit to the Cathedral well worth the £3 entrance fee to see the paintings and heavily carved and painted pulpit. A nice lake to walk around and a Watch Tower you can walk up to.
Nothing really there just a few shops, went on the Panoramic Tour but was not impressed, due to heavy mist again couldn't see the true view. Had about three stops to take pics and coffee and cake on the final stop. Would suggest you do the river cruise or the glaciers
Couldn't see very much due to heavy mist again and it rained all day, we actually went up the funicular railway really just to see what it was like. No view at the top couldn't see anything I would imagine if it had been a nice day it would have been lovely.
