Sail Date: Jul 2009

My husband, adult daughter and I cruised on the Enchantment of the Seas in July/Aug 2009. The ports of call were Key West & Cozumel.

Our experience on the ship was mixed. We loved the redesigned look, with the sweeping arches on the top of the ship. The look of the ship is lovely--very well done.

Our cabin was our first disappointment. We booked a last-minute deal and got a great rate, but the photos of the cabins in our class showed a third bed--a sofa bed, with a curtain--for our third adult. This would have been great, but instead, we found a pull-down berth--which formed an upper & lower bunk, ala a college dormitory. None of us was in shape to climb that ladder (it seemed astoundingly high to me) but I volunteered. It was a huge inconvenience, and coupled with the lack of privacy, it really took the lustre off of an otherwise beautiful ship.

Cabin Review

See review for details on cabin: tiny, not as advertised, shabby bedding & a scary high berth for the third adult.
