Traveled with children

We wanted to take our grandchildren (who are 5 and 7) on a July 4th cruise. We were told that there would be fireworks and a children's pool playground. That children's pool was a fountain. No fireworks. Big let down - I fired the travel agent. Although there were a lot of children on the ship, the 2 times we used the children's club there were no kids there.

Our cabin was on the 8 floor below the pool deck. Every night around 3 AM they would clean the pool deck - move the pool loungers and make a tremendous amount of noise - Did not get one night solid sleep.

Our cabin steward was excellent and the service in the main dinning room was good. The food there was OK except for one night it was terrible. The food in the cafe was OK however it was extremely crowded for breakfast and lunch - not enough tables. Most of the bar tenders and waiters were OK - However there was one bar tender who spoke very little English was nasty and waited on Hispanic customers first making me wait and then did not know how to make the specialty drink of the day. There was also a nasty bar waiter in the casino who made me wait 30 min. for a glass of water.

Cabin Review

Family Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin FO

Very seedy looking - Stains on the sofa and tears. I was afraid the bed had bed bugs. The cabin is under the pool deck and every night at around 3 AM - They would stack the pool lounge chairs and wash the deck. Every night the banging would wake us up. This was one of the smallest family staterooms that I have seen
