Not many sea lions this time of year! Better to see June 1st!
Beautiful scenery!!
While cruising the Glaciers!

We chose this cruise for the time and places we wanted to go. Have cruised Princess in the past with no major problems. We have been on several cruises and this was our 3rd to Alaska. Cabin E401 was the perfect location. Central location and walked down 1, 2 or 3 levels for all activities. It was in the middle of the ship so very little movement was ever felt. Ask for a mattress topper as soon as you get on board. They make all the difference. Make sure to take a plug with several ports on it. There are very few plugs in the room. We plugged ours in behind the TV and we able to plug all of our phones, apple watch and camera batteries. I also take a small clock that lights up to see what time it is if I wake up during the night. The window gave light and the view was adequate to see what was going on outside. We had gotten balcony rooms in the past but going to Alaska it is too cold and rainy to use them so it is a waste of extra money.

I had read several reviews concerning the food. I just thought, really? you are on a cruise, what is there to complain about!! Well, they were right. The food in the buffet was never warm enough. There seems to be so many "ethnic" choices that are not enough regular food. We usually ate at the buffet for breakfast and lunch but diner was in the main dining room. We did eat one breakfast in the dining room as we were hungry for eggs benedict. It was terrible!! The sauce was put on over the eggs and stored under a heat lamp for at least 30 minutes. We asked for extra sauce to pour over the top. It took a long time to get it and them we only got about 4 tablespoons for 4 people. Not good!! We ate at the buffet after that for breakfast. The dining room dinners were good. In the past we have always had very friendly staff serving us. My husband if very friendly and is good with joking around with them. This time we didn't even know our waiters name until that last day and that was because we asked him. Not friendly and had too many tables so if you asked for something extra, it took forever.

My husband and I both got the full drink package. It was very difficult to get specialty coffee for breakfast unless you went and got it yourself before going to the buffet. That wasn't right!! Also at dinner when ordering a mixed drink it took a long time and several reminders to get it as well.
