After searching for a "unique experience" for our 40th wedding anniversary my wife and I settled on the 11 day French Polynesia excursion on Windstar's Wind Spirit. Our decision couldn't have been better! Embarkation and disembarkation were well planned and went smoothly. The limited number of passengers led to a more intimate atmosphere, making it easy to make friends. This is definitely not a trip for folks with children, but then again that's part of what we were looking for. The crew were uniformly friendly and helpful and worked around our schedule when cleaning/making up our cabin. While somewhat compact our cabin was well designed and extremely comfortable. The food on our cruise was outstanding, especially the evening dinners in the Amphora A dining room. We also had the opportunity to dine on-deck under the stars, which was an incredible experience. We took advantage of a wide variety of excellent shore excursions, and particularly liked snorkeling in the coral aquarium on Rangiroa, the Huahine and Bora Bora island tours, the Anapa Pearl Farm, and Aqua Safari on Bora Bora. In short, Windstar more than exceeded our expectations. We have been on several very nice trips with other cruise lines, but after our experience with Windstar I can't imagine ever vacationing on a large ship again.

Compact but well designed and comfortable; lots of storage room and very cozy bed!
