Absolutely loved our inaugural cruise on Silver Seas in August 2016 to Alaska, so chose this Baltic cruise without looking at any other cruise line. We wanted to visit the Northern Europe cities best accessible by a ship, so we invited a few friends to join us and off we went, and IT WAS BEYOND FANTASTIC. Crew-excellent; Guestroom-spacious and clean and comfortable; Entertainment-perfect for a small ship; Logistics-impeccably executed; Captain Luigi--so lovable; and the Food and Kitchen---amazing...no, that is inadequate, how about going the extra mile to accommodate every known food need and beyond, and everything being incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. . I am so so happy with Silver Seas! So, if yo are a happy travlerer seeking the best life can offer, this is for you.
My only footnote: the private night at the Hermitage, closed to the public, wit just a few dozen SS guests on a private tour and orchestra concert, should be better emphasized; we attended and it was the highlight of our trip, but so many others barely knew about it----perhaps the ship ought to include this as part of the St Petersburg programming for all guests and serve late night dinner back on the ship. Yes, that spectacular.....
And maybe a shorter day in Helsinki which is underwhelming and more time in Tallinn which is a great stop!
