My first cruise was on an RCCL ship, and my husband and I were hooked. We loved the entire experience. After years away, I booked myself, my daughter, and two grandchildren on the Allure. I&ve discovered cruising has really changed.
The good news is that we have not experienced any attempts to get us to buy drinks, or other products.
The bad news: dinners in the dining room are often beyond poor. I am not a foodie. I eat anywhere and enjoy decent not fancy food. On the Allure, night after night our table of five either sends the main course back half eaten or find the portions very small. The joke is that by 9 pm the grandkids are ordering their second dinner. The food at night is either tasteless,or tastes poorly. Only main course enjoyed by anyone of us was the $30 lobster we bought one of the grandchildren.
Small and tight for any more than two, people. Enough space for clothes but no room to walk around. Think minisuite or better formcomfort.
