This was my 4th cruise with RC and it just didn't live up to the prior cruises. On a positive note, our cabin attendant was wonderful and our waiter and assistant waiter at traditional dining also wonderful. However, the ship needs an uplift. For example, the carpet on the 14th floor cabin hallways was dingy and needs to be replaced. Part of the hallway on the 14th floor smelled. I was not sure where the smell was coming from. Also, the ship rocked and rolled the entire cruise. I have never felt the ship even move the prior 3 cruises I was on with RC (this was 3rd time on Allure and once on Oasis). I also just didn't get the same feeling from the crew - not as welcoming and friendly as usual. The food and service at Chops was excellent as was Johnny Rockets, however, the food in the main dining room was hit or miss. RC has their desserts down though - very good! I had a drink package and some of the bartenders seemed annoyed when I asked for a better brand of liquor (which was included in my package). The cabin on boardwalk (first time we didn't stay in cabin without outside balcony over water) was very noisy - I guess that was to be expected. Just thought we would try something different - will definitely go back to other type cabin. Maho beach excursion in St. Maarten was great. Labadee also a fantastic stop. Food was average at the BBQ but the sun and fun spot on. Mama Mia was excellent as was the headliner act and comedians. Crew in casino not so friendly. Loved the "love and marriage" show and "sexiest man contest." Was upset at bingo. My papers in cabin stated I received a free bingo card. I went to two separate bingo games and paid each time. Asked about my free card and it was never at the games I could go to. I asked when and they said during day when people off boat. Really? Also, asked about my 10% off with my crown and anchor status - only applies to certain items - of course not anything I was buying apparently. Even though I bought some RC stuff which is what I thought the 10% went towards. I think you can get the picture - some good, some not so good - i.e., average cruise. First time I left a cruise somewhat disappointed.

Cabin Review

Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin was clean but a bit noisy. To be expected though when staying on 14th deck with balcony over Boardwalk. Attendant Arjay was excellent! Very friendly and very attentive to our needs in the cabin.
