My husband’s 75th birthday was approaching and as usual he didn't want to do anything special, but I insisted. "What do you like to do best?" He thought for a minute and replied, "I like being on the sea." I also know he doesn't like to fly, so I began a search for a ship that we could drive to from Orlando and would be on the sea on his birthday.

I contacted a friend’s travel agent and asked her to get us a good deal on the Equinox. After studying the Celebrity website, I began to get a little nervous. What if he didn't like the ship? We have been on some wonderful ships on other lines, but never before on Celebrity.

The travel agent called and said she found us a great deal, but I stopped her before she could finish. "I think you need to find me a suite. I can't let this birthday have any flaws." I reasoned that he hadn't celebrated in 10 years, so I was probably getting a bargain anyway.
