  • Destination: Canada & New England
  • Cabin Type: undefined

We have sailed on everything from the Oasis of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) to crewed catamarans in the BVI's. Always was curious about sailing on a windjammer along the Maine coast, now glad we did it and the Mary Day was a great choice. The ship itself is immaculate and stable, the crew of seven was always busy cleaning and maintaining the boat. Cabin was adequate, nothing fancy but comfortable....your not taking this type of cruise to sit in the cabin. Dining was extraordinary, unbelievable shore-front lobster bake, prime rib the last night with home made ice cream, fresh baked muffins all done on a wood burning stove. Captain and crew all seemed to play some kind of instrument and would play during the evening. Our particular cruise had fifteen passengers, pretty much ratio of 2 to 1, their goal was to make people comfortable, which they definitly accomplished. Other than sailing we did go ashore and visited the Wooden Boat School in Brooklin, ME, again very interesting, nice store and a good opportunity for some exercise.
