Frequent sea cruisers but had never tried a river journey before and the Danube seemed a good place to start. I spoke with our usual very helpful Agent with a specific company in mind and she recommended Emerald as a better all round option.
What they did well:
Transfers, Shore Excursions, House Keeping. Breakfast buffet. All hands on deck for a non scheduled disembarkation due to all the time lost in the canal system.

Always very clean and a very pleasant and helpful concierge.
The inside/outside drop down "balcony" I didn't like at all. The shower-room very tiny. Television a good size and a useful mini bar fridge. Storage extremely tight
