The whole cruise was wonderful, loved the ship design and layout, we had great views from our veranda, the room was very functional and the bed very comfortable. Breakfasts are the best. If we were on board for lunch we almost always eat out in the open air deck. Diners on this trip were not up to par with our other Viking River Cruises. Maybe our expectations for French cuisine set our standards too high but in general I'd say the dinners were just okay, sort of a mid-west (slightly bland) style using local food products. That said the wait staff, as always, were great, food came in a timely fashion, drinks were always full and yet we never felt rushed.

Evening entertainment was good, the wife and I danced almost every night.

We took all the standard excursion for the most part. And only availed ourselves of one extended excursions. All of our excursions were fun and enjoyable. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly.
