Have become river cruise travelers (our other river cruises were in France with UniWorld) & wanted something in a part of the U.S. that was unfamiliar. This trip met that criteria. We did not arrive at the departure destination in time to do anything there; however, the overnight hotel was good--only problem was having no phone number handy in order to get there shuttle to the airport. Somehow our assigned cabin # was given to someone else & we ended up across the hall; however, rooms were same so it didn't really matter except for the extra confusion & staff handled it quickly. This was a food & wine theme cruise and that part was truly excellent! Personnel were for the most part very friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and helpful (including fun-loving, fact-filled tour bus drivers). Our first trip with ACL; won't be the last. It was overall a positive experience. We enjoyed it very much.

Cabin AAR

We were originally assigned 214 but there was a mix up & we were moved across hall to 215--same room style & balcony so no problem. Accommodations were fine. Our room service had a couple of glitches in that some linens did not get replaced when needed & water cups were not replaced when cleaned out each morning. Rest was all okay.
