This was an area of Europe that we wanted to see. We stayed in Budapest on our own 5 days prior to the cruise and in Amsterdam on our own 5 days after the cruise which we would highly recommend. The cruise lines add on before or after the cruise was quite pricey and one could find as nice of accommodations at a lower price if one was willing to do a little work on their own or with their travel agent. We thought the ships docked right in the towns we stopped and one could walk off of the ship and into the town on your own. This happened in a few cities but many stops were in a industrial area of the city or quite a distance from the city and we had to be bused to the city and were bound by the return bus schedule not allowing for the free time we had hoped for. Local entertainment and speakers were very good and enjoyable. The staff was always cheerful and friendly and a pleasure to be with. The food was okay but not the quality we were expecting on a highly rated cruise line. Beer and wine during lunch and dinner was a nice feature. The included excursions were well planned out and the local guides were a nice bonus. Many of the optional tours were long and gave no time for one to relax and enjoy the cruise port. Overall a fun trip and the entire trip was enjoyable.
Nice room good for sleeping, not much else as the room was compact which was to be expected/
