We had a wonderful time on our cruise. Every stop was beautiful. Our crew was always friendly and helpful. We chose to do both the Prague extension at the beginning and the Budapest extension at the end. Our local guide in Prague (Martina) was wonderful. When we wanted to attend a concert, she made suggestions on which one we should go to, and called to make sure there were tickets available. She told personal stories about her life growing up in Prague, which was very interesting. It was also helpful that our hotel (Hotel Yasmin) was very close to the city center, so it made walking to the different sites easy.
On board, we did all of the included city tours, but none of the extra tours. All of the tour guides were very informative and gave us helpful tips for exploring on our on during the free time. Our room was beautiful, very modern, and had lots of storage space. The onboard entertainment was enjoyable, as well. Traveling through the locks on the Danube was interesting. The majority of the passengers were in the 50-70 age range, but there were some younger passengers as well, however there were no children on our cruise. The fact that you only have 182 passengers makes it easy to get to know people. There were several times that we dined with people that we had dined with before.
Our time in Budapest was very enjoyable also. We purchased a one day subway and tram ticket and rode all over the city exploring what Budapest has to offer. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott, which was lovely, and very convenient to the subway.
We loved our cabin! It had plenty of storage. The bed was comfortable, And of course, the slide down window was wonderful.
Prague is a beautiful city
