We thoroughly enjoyed the whole Viking Ocean itinerary. We flew into Bergen a day early, staying at the lovely Thon Rosenkrantz hotel, and had a great day exploring various sites like the Hanseatic museum and the Kode art museum. I would also recommend the Norway in a Nutshell tour - well organized connections and beautiful sites. After the tour, we boarded the Viking Star, embarkation went smoothly.

The ship decor is elegantly understated with very comfortable and welcoming lounge areas, restaurants, and outer deck seating areas. Very clean with nice touches. (Birds singing in the ladies bathrooms!) Our cabin was nicely appointed with a veranda, very comfortable bed mattress and soft sheets, good sized bathroom, large flat screen TV. I appreciated the powerful hair dryer with heat concentrator.

Food on board was high quality and generally excellent. Wonderful variety in World Cafe, and upscale dining in Manfredi's. Entertainment - enjoyable production shows with a talented young cast. We enjoyed Torshavn; Christina, Speedy and the band were fantastic. Dancing to a live band with other passengers each evening was fun.
