Chose this cruise to see what sea cruising with Viking was like. Had traveled with them on a river cruise, but never on their sea cruises. We were extremely impressed by the ship itself and our cabin location and have signed up for a future cruise with Viking on a sister ship to continue the enjoyment of sailing with them. The ship was pretty new and perfectly designed for what we were looking for with many relaxing quiet seating areas around the ship. One of our most enjoyable days, although not part of the cruise itself, was the pre-day we spent in Rome. The hotel Delle Nazione was perfect for us and near enough to walk to the Trevi fountain. The dinner we had in the restaurant was excellent and memorable. Our afternoon excursion in Malta was outstanding, as was our included tour of Tunisia. The food on the ship was even better than expected, the dining seating was easy and painless, and the crew were friendly and helpful at every turn. Most of the included excursions were very good.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

We were especially excited by our cabin location which was just a couple of doors from overlooking the atrium and the location where the ship musicians performed. The room service and condition were also excellent. Although we were not scheduled for a specific dining time, we were always able to obtain a table for two almost immediately after arriving at the dining room. The wait staff and all other personnel were very friendly and efficient.

Port Reviews

Valencia

We took the provided tour of Valencia and enjoyed it very much. It was a beautiful city we would return tol

Algiers

We did not enjoy this tour as much as some of the other we took, but we did see some interesting things. We spent too much time at the war memorial.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We stayed in a hotel the day prior to the trip and had a very enjoyable time. The hotel was near the Trevi Fountain.
