We selected Viking for our trip to China based on the fantastic service and programs we had experienced with Viking on a Danube cruise. The China trip was a cruise/tour and we were very pleased that each small group was assigned a guide who stayed with the group through the entire trip, including the cruise. We always had a person to go to who knew us and with whom we were comfortable. The tours in each city were excellent - a wonderful mix of the iconic sights and intimate cultural experiences, such as visiting a lady's home in Beijing. The hotels were all five star and very comfortable. Traveling through airports was a breeze - our guide took care of the luggage and boarding documents. The ship was excellent - larger than the Viking longships but just a comfortable and lovely. Of course, ther service was excellent. I heartily recommend Viking for a once-in-a-lifetime trip like China. You will not be disappointed.
