We had cruised the Danube with Viking along with 2 other couples and had such a great time, so we wanted to explore the Rhine with Viking. Another wonderful adventure! The food was delicious and there was always something on the menu that even picky eaters enjoyed. I especially liked that there was a food specialty of the area that was on the menu daily. The ship was clean and rooms were quite adequate. We enjoyed having a small balcony so that we could sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. The staff went above and beyond to be of assistance and so polite, courteous, and fun! We plan to book more River Cruises with Viking and also venture out onto Ocean Cruises - I like the smaller ships, rather than the jumbo ships - and with the River Cruises you get to meet other passengers and make new friends! Another couple we had met on the Danube Cruise joined us for the Rhine Cruise - how fun! In each port there was an included tour, and in the afternoon we had numerous options of excursions that were extra. We always did an optional excursion and saw and did things we normally wouldn't have done...odds are I won't be back there again so we signed up for things like walking tours of castles, bus trip to the Black Forest, and local restaurants that had great food and entertainment.
