Sail Date: May 2017

This was our second Viking River Cruise. Service was up to Viking's high standards. Meals were good. Entertainment/Tour Director Mary Anne was fantastic and a real character.

The tours at each port were usually very good with knowledgeable guides and interesting sites. Kinderdijk, Melk Abbey, Bamberg, Vienna, Marksburg castle, and the Budapest night cruise up and down the river were highlights. Each small town had its own ambience and feel. Tour radios worked better this time as bugs had been worked out compared to our last cruise when they were new.

Cruise was more on the relaxing side as this 15 day cruise had a lot of water to cover, i.e. more cruising than a shorter trip. Ship typically went up river while we were bused to tour sites and back to ship. We did not have any river problems with water levels or lock problems and there were about 70 of them! Ship was in excellent condition. Only ship issue we had was upper deck was closed most of the time due to all of the low bridges.

Cabin Review

Cabin Standard

Lower deck cabin with small viewing window just above water level. Size was adequate. Typical amenities. Good service by steward twice a day.
