We chose this Viking cruise because we wanted to see Paris for the first time and to visit the Canadian landing beaches in Normandy. As always on Viking cruises we were not disappointed. We had done the Grand European a year earlier and were as happy this time as the first time. We were picked up at the CDG on time early in the morning and taken straight to the ship where lunch was ready and then a bus into Paris for the afternoon of sightseeing. The staff on the ship totally spoil all the guests with their kindness and service.We love the casual atmosphere and the size of the ship. We recently completed a cruise on a Celebrity line and were not as happy with the size of the ship. Too big!

We have now booked two back to back cruises for 2018. One being Paris to Zurich and then to Amsterdam.

Our one and only disappointment was the cost of the visit to Versailles - money vs value was not there at all. If we do it again we will give it a miss. The other shore excursions were wonderful and the guides knowledgeable. A favourite was the bus tour around Paris. A huge plus for this included tour. The day trip to Normandy cannot compare to anything else. A must do for Canadians.
