Celebrity was recommended by family member and travel agent. I wish I would have gone on Princess, as I have had three cruises with them and this my first with Celebrity. Flew into Anchorage a day before we were to meet at the Marriott to explore Anchorage and it was nice. It really took me a while to get use to all the daylight. The land portion was very nice, but for Talkeetna and Alyeska your time there is so limited you really cannot do much. Both are beautiful resorts. The domed train from Anchorage to Talkeetna was really fun and the bloody Mary's awesome. Land portion - meals on your own and super super expensive, $43 for breakfast and at least $75 for dinner. Denali Park Village - we had our own little cabin, nothing special about this bit nice. Again, very expensive. Went to the Cabin playhouse dinner. Not worth the $75 pp, was corney but they tried. Would not do it again. Went on the seven hr excursion in Denali Park. Saw bears, cubs and elk, beautiful mountains. Seward to get on the ship - visit to the Sealife Center which was very very nice.

Ship - got on within minutes, but this port was not busy, we were the only ship leaving so no lines. Was able to go right to room. We had Aqua class and was in cabin 1101. Cabin - outdated, stains on furniture and curtains. Very noisey metal door right outside our room that would close with a Big Bang. Meals - We ate in BLU every nite except so, once in regular dining room, which was overpacked and very noisey, and once in their Fusion restaurant, which was tapas food and quite interesting. It was fun but confusing. Entertainment - we are not showtunes/ dancing fans so really cannot comment. There were two piano players/singers and one comic magician, who were quite good. Casino - We enjoy playing cards, but this line only had three card poker, Texas holdem, and blackjack. Wish Let it Ride or Mississippi Stud, even Caribbean Poker were available. Lots of slots but didn't hear of anyone winning. Drink Package - a bonus given but only was good for drinks up to $9 go those fancy cocktails, forget it, not included. Here was the problem I had - laundry - we did the land portion first so each of us had two suitcases, one for land and one for the cruise ( which was stored for you and ended up in your stateroom. Since our cruise clothes were sitting and moved around they were a jumbled mess. No laundry room on Celebrity ships. To get a T-shirt and a pair of capri's pressed they wanted $9. Also, for room service between 11 am and 5 pm they would charge a $4.95 service charge. Really, this trip was $9000 ahead thè nerve to charge a fee for room service between those hours. Ports I find Call Juneau great whale watch and cool town, Skagway. The White Pass Railway was great and the old town cool. Icy Point Straight, Hoonah, not worth getting off the ship unless you wanted to zip line. kethican. Must do the Deadliest Catch excursion, very y nice, especially the eagles I say no more as I don't want to ruin it for you. Disembarkation is always a hassle, even with priority. The môst absolute best part of the trip were the new friends we made, in fact one of the couples and us just booked a Panama Canal cruise fornext April!

Cabin Review

Aqua Class

Cabin A2

Stained carpet and drapes. The shower doors did not keep water in very well. There was always water on the floor.

Port Reviews

Icy Strait

Really nothing there other than the zip line. Did have dungenesse crab at a little bar that was very good. Nothing else there!
