We had a great time on the Norwegian Getaway!! Before embarkation we spent a few days in Copenhagen. We visited Tivoli Gardens, went on a canal boat tour and visited the Rosenborg Palace. Embarkation and disembarkation were very efficient, the staff were friendly and helpful. The ship is quite large. It includes a ropes course, rock wall, aqua park, various pools and hot tubs, mini golf and shuffleboard. Our stateroom was fairly small with two single beds and two fold out bunks over top. There are 6 complementary restaurants; Taste, Savour, The Garden Cafe, Shanghai's Noodle Bar, The Tropicana Room and O'Sheehan's. There are also various speciality restaurants that we did not visit. The food is delicious!! We enjoyed the freestyle dining model, we did not have to make any reservations. The entertainment on board was very good. Burn the Floor was excellent as was Nicola Ward (singer) and Joe Enock (magician). The staff ran fun game shows each night. Howl at the Moon was a unique show with two pianos playing songs requested by the audience. In Germany, Estonia and Finland we just walked around exploring the cities as we had never visited any of them before. In Russia we had booked 2 excursions. We visited 3 cathedrals and visited Catherine's Palace. Both tours were excellent!! We unfortunately could not go into Stockholm due to wind conditions making it unsafe for us to get into the port. I would recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to see the Baltics!!

Cabin IC

It was small but clean. We had two single beds and two fold out bunks over those. We had a small bathroom with a shower.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

We visited the Rosenborg palace. It was beautiful and we got to see the crown jewels. We also went on a canal boat tour. We saw many of the major sights including the little mermaid statue. At night we visited Tivoli Gardens. It was beautiful lit up, the rides were old fashioned but we still had a great time.

Rostock (Warnemunde)

We enjoyed our time in both Rostock and Warnemunde. We started in Warnemunde. We walked around and explored the town and spent some time by the beach. We then took the train into Rostock where we explored the pedestrian mall.

Tallinn

In Tallinn we explored the old town. It was unlike any other town we had visited. We enjoyed the market and even got to watch some dancing and singing performances.

Helsinki

In Helsinki we visited The Church in the Rock. It was unlike any church I have ever visited before. We also explored the rest of the town.
